Thank you for being a Meal Partner for Rod’s House during their cold weather shelter. The shelter is for homeless young adults and this year is based at Motel 6 until March 30th. The Hotel plans to serve meals to 24 young adults. Our goal is to provide a main dish for the young adults every Tuesday at 3:30 pm. There are no kitchens at Motel 6, for this reason meal partner requests are different than years past. You are welcome to sign up to take a meal or you can donate below.

If you choose to bring a meal, Rod’s house volunteers will dish the food you have provided into single serve microwaveable containers. These meals will be passed out as the young adults check into their Motel rooms.
Please provide a refrigerated main dish in disposable containers. Please divide your dish into two disposable containers that would serve 12 each. Clearly label and date your dish.

If you would like to include side dishes, they also need to be delivered in a refrigerated disposable container that can be easily dished into the same microwaveable container as the main dish.
If you would like to include condiments; the volunteers have containers for single servings. Please remember to provide the condiment in enough quantity for a minimum of 25 adults.

Please deliver your meal on a Tuesday at 3:30, to Motel 6. Let the office know you have arrived. They have a window to the outside that allows communication without entering the lobby. A volunteer will come to your car to pick up your food. You do not need to enter the lobby. This meets the Health Department guidelines for physically distancing.
