Dear Englewood Friends,
The trees have turned all sorts of colors. The air is crisp. Fall is here. As we are already anticipating Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is a time to reflect on the abundance of blessings and gifts that we have.
And it is time again for our yearly Stewardship Campaign where we ask you to make a pledge of what you want to give to the church in 2024. Our theme this year is Abundance of Gifts. As you reflect on your life, consider all that you have, that fills your life with abundance. It is a time to give thanks to God.
Enclosed is a proposed budget for 2024. It has NOT been approved by the Vision Council. Requests of the different ministry groups in the church were put together so you could see what the leaders would like to do in 2024, and the money needed to do it. After all the pledges are received on Nov 19, a final budget will be drafted, taken to the Vision Council for approval, and then on to you at an All-Church Meeting in December. Dream with us as to how we can increase our ministry to others.
Your Estimated Giving card is enclosed. We ask that you fill it out and return it during worship on Sunday, Nov 19. There will be a special dedication of these gifts during the service. If you are not able to be at worship service on the 19th, please turn your card into the office or place it in the offering before the 19th.
Kathy will have a table set up each Sunday morning to answer your questions about this budget and to get your input on it. Stop by and get your answers. If she does not know, she will find out and get back to you!
